A buy is money out and a token in inside one transaction; a sell is the reverse. Trades paid in ETH are read from the pool’s own swap event, since ETH leaves no transfer behind. Anything without a money leg is called a transfer, because that is all it is. The same data is at /api/v1/activity?address=0x…, without a key.
